Snagging: The process of inspecting a newly built property to identify any defects, incomplete
work, or snags (minor faults) that need to be fixed by the developer or contractor before handover
to the buyer. Buyers often conduct a snagging inspection to list out issues that the developer
must rectify prior to final completion. Example: During the snagging of our new apartment, we
noted several items – like paint touch-ups and a misaligned door – which the developer agreed to
fix before we took possession.
